The Challenge

Friday 24th - The Downs Cafe Bristol
9.00 am Set off

The route heads away from the Downs and across the Clifton Suspension Bridge before heading into North Somerset. Passing Chew Valley Lake,up over the Mendip Hills, through beautiful Wells and Glastonbury. It then heads across the Somerset levels to a lunch stop on the outskirts of Taunton.
After lunch it winds its way through picturesque villages as it makes its way up towards and across Exmoor. Finally the welcome down hill run into Barnstaple for the first night’s well earned sleep.

6.00 pm Riders to be at the Hotel
Approx mileage 100-110 miles


Saturday 25th - Barnstaple
9.00 am Set off

The route will make use where suitable of the 'Tarka Trail Cycle Route' as it heads out of Barnstaple down to Okehampton. The Route skirts the stunningly rugged northern edge of Dartmoor and onto lunch. Heading west through small villages the route takes in the 3rd and last moor of Bodmin. Turning south away from the moor the second day ends in St Austell.

6.00 pm Riders to be at the Hotel
Approx mileage 90-100 miles


Sunday 26th - St Austell
9.00 am Set off

With 2 tough days out of the way today’s route is the shortest and flattest, interspersing the stunning Cornish countryside with the towns of Truro, Redruth and Penzance. Finally reaching Lands End in time for a well earned Sunday Roast.

1.00 pm Riders to be finished
Aprprox mileage 40-50 miles
